Esme dad is away at the army for his last duty he will be away for 100 days and 99 nights. Esme soon feels that it is her duty to be good and strong while her father is away. Meanwhile that’s difficult to do because her annoying brother Ike; he makes it hard. Esme also goes on to talk about all of her stuff animals that are on her bed to waste time for her father to arrive.

This story was about a boy name Jess, 10 years old, who was hoping to become the fastest runner, until the new girl came to the school. Jess finds himself sticking up for Leslie even though she cheating and won the race. Jess and Leslie gained a real good friendship when she introduces him to a world of imagination called Terabithia. This is where they became safe from all the bullies and troubles. At the end, It all changed and the good friends was forced to be alone without each other.
